Community Events

Quest for a Cure

Quest for a Cure is a public education event that covers different cancer types and related cancer issues presented by UH Cancer Center researchers and clinician partners.

Speakers Hui

Speakers Hui is a public education event that connects the UH Cancer Center's researchers and staff with community groups to inform them on our latest research and education efforts.

Tours

The COE office organizes and facilitates tours of the UH Cancer Center to donors, students, and other groups who are interested in the research and history of the Center.

Health Fairs

In addition to the public educational events the UH Cancer Center hosts, the Cancer Center also regularly attends community events and annual health fairs such as Young at Heart and Papakōlea Health Fair to continue to educate different populations across Hawaiʻi about clinical trials, the importance of early detection of cancer, and about the research and resources the Center provides.

Cancer Answers is a podcast series with in-depth conversations with UH Cancer Center researchers that provides insights into current research, and raises public awareness about cancer risk and prevention in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.

Newsletter

Innovations is a community publication with research news and updates from the UH Cancer Center. This newsletter is produced with support from the Friends of the UH Cancer Center.

Annual Report

The Annual Report is a publication produced at the end of every year reflecting back at the work done at the Cancer Center.  The report includes information on new research discoveries, a letter from the Director, new faculty, performance highlights, and looking to the future years.
