Community Events

Quest for a Cure

Quest for a Cure is a regular public educational forum that explores in-depth, emergent, and relevant cancer-related topics. These events are presented by experts including UH Cancer Center researchers, clinicians, community partners, and cancer survivors.

Speakers Hui

Speakers Hui is a resource available for community organizations to learn more about our latest research, educational efforts, and ways to become involved with our science.

Health Fairs

The UH Cancer Center also participates in various annual health fairs, such as the Young at Heart and the Papakōlea Health Fair, as well as workplace and other wellness fairs such as the Four Seasons Resort at Ko Olina.  In addition to holding an exhibit table, UH Cancer Center carries out health education sessions on various topics such as HPV immunization, cancer screening, and participation in clinical trials.  We also partner with the Skin Cancer Coalition to provide skin cancer screening and health education about sun protection.

Cancer Answers is a podcast series with in-depth conversations about cancer. UH Cancer Center researchers, staff, and other guests provide insights into current research, and raises awareness about cancer risk, prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.
